Huw and Trish Campaigning for Mark Shelford - PCC election 2024

We welcome members old and new in the Yeovil constituency to help with a variety of activities to ensure the local Association can win elections at Unitary and National level.

No matter how much time you can give or what you can do there is always something you can help with. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] if you think you can help. Thank you.

Delivering Leaflets

Delivering leaflets explaining key messages from local and national candidates remains a vital part of getting the Conservative message out to voters. Working as part of a team, this is particularly important at local and national election time.

Canvassing

Canvassing involves engaging with voters on the doorstep, hearing their concerns and what matters to them. Normally, you will be canvassing as part of a team with a Town, Unitary or Parliamentary Candidate alongside you. This is both a challenging and hugely rewarding way to engage with politics and to make a real difference to a campaigning effort.

Fundraising

Throughout the year our members organise local fundraising events, with the support of the Association and its local branches. This is a great way to meet your MP, and socialise with like-minded people.

Join Your Local Branch

We have active and committed local branches in Yeovil, the Cokers, Crewkerne, South Petherton, Chard and Hinton St George/Merriott. These branches organise a range of activities from fundraising events to campaigning, delivering leaflets and canvassing. Branches also play a crucial role in the selection of local government candidates for their area.

Casework

The Party and candidates receive a lot of letters from members of the public asking questions about policy or if we can help with an issue they have. If campaigning is not for you, or you want to improve your office skills, being a voluntary caseworker might be for you. People with strong casework skills can generally find work in Parliament or a constituency with the right  experience.

Thank you for your support with all of the above - it is greatly appreciated.
